Profiles

  • Men and women who have graduated from public or private high schools, who can certify their high school diploma and the results of the Saber 11 tests. They should have an interest in life and health sciences and the pharmaceutical field.

  • Graduates of the Pharmacy Management Technology Program at the University of the Llanos will be capable of managing and promoting access to, quality of, and the appropriate use of medications, as well as marketing, research on natural products, homeopathic remedies, cosmetics, hygiene products, veterinary supplies, and medical devices. They will also be prepared to oversee, monitor, and audit these within Pharmaceutical Establishments and Services, in accordance with the General System of Social Security in Health (SGSSS) and current regulations. This enables the Pharmacy Manager to participate in the management of comprehensive healthcare provided by the actors within the SGSSS. Their role should be ongoing and aligned with the conditions and characteristics of each region, in accordance with the current National Pharmaceutical Policy, in order to contribute to the preservation and promotion of individual, family, and public health.

  • Graduates of the Pharmacy Management Technology Program at the University of the Llanos, in accordance with Law 485 of 1998, receive training to perform the following technological activities:

    1. Manage retail distribution establishments within institutions that are part of the Social Security Health System, offering distribution and dispensing of medications and other health supplies at the primary care level or low complexity, whether outpatient or hospital-based.
    2. Manage the pharmaceutical service of health service provider institutions of low complexity or those located at the primary care level, whether outpatient or hospital-based.
    3. Manage wholesale pharmaceutical distribution establishments of allopathic, homeopathic, veterinary products, pharmaceutical preparations based on natural resources, magistral cosmetics, and health supplies.
    4. Support, under the direction of the Pharmaceutical Chemist, the development of basic activities of the medication and health supply system oriented to production in health service provider institutions of secondary and tertiary levels.
    5. Collaborate, under the direction of the Pharmaceutical Chemist, in the development of basic activities of pharmaceutical service delivery of high and medium complexity.
    6. Carry out comprehensive management of natural products, allopathic, homeopathic, phytotherapeutic products, medical devices, dietary supplements, and veterinary supplies in Pharmaceutical Establishments and Services.
    7. Territorial entities responsible for inspection and oversight functions of wholesale and retail pharmaceutical distribution establishments shall carry out these activities with personnel holding the title of Pharmacy Manager.
    8. Participate in marketing and sales activities of pharmaceutical products.
